I loved how Mary and Jay's self-solemnizing ceremony included their family members leading different parts of the ceremony and afterwards they chose to take part in the German tradition Baumstamm Sägen where they overcame their first obstacle of marriage, cutting a really freaking big log! They did it fast too! Then the whole family proceeded to chop to the log to bits, it was amazing!
It was a pretty chilly day down by the lake but it didn't matter, they said sweet vows, sang songs to each other, chopped a log together, went to fetch a runaway canoe and even when it started to rain a bit they smiled and drank champagne just as happy as anyone ever! Through it all they were both so happy and smiley and we were so lucky to get to film their wedding for them! Congratulations Mary and Jay!
Notes from the Couple:
"We are very happy with the highlight film and so excited to see the ceremony film too!! Thank you so incredibly much for braving the conditions with us to help capture a very special occasion!"
